Smart Gym isn't what you think it is. In fact, it's not even really a gym – it's a feeling. It's that feeling you get after a long hard day when the kids are in bed, the kettle's on and the night is yours.
Smart Gym exists because parenting is tough, but we like to remind ourselves that without the struggles, that you-time just wouldn't feel that you.
Formed by parents and led by our community, Smart Gym is all about breaking barriers that stand in the way of good mental health. Because our children are at their best when we are at ours.
The voice of fellow mums and dads influences everything we do, from running a free crèche service to helping families get fitter together.
It is our mission to make exercise accessible, enjoyable and affordable for every family in Glasgow, helping you get stronger so your problems feel lighter.

Wonderful welcoming atmosphere to all, my toddler loves soft gym and finally a place welcoming to my older kids too. Staff are fantastic, classes are great fun, nice environment to exercise alone in too. 10/10 in every way – Clare

The low-cost family gym
Soft Gym
Children under 8 years of age can play in the Soft Gym whilst their parents workout. Supervised options available.
Open Gym
You don't need to have children to join, but youngsters from 8 years of age are free to use the open gym with their parents.
Private Free-Weight Area
No judgement, hoggers or posers - our premium weight room is bookable in one hour slots.

A full range of gym equipment and classes suitable all fitness levels.
Crèche
AKA the "soft gym", our crèche is built with 0-8 year olds in mind. Staff supervision available. CCTV-monitored.
Personal training
Personal training at Smart Gym is offered at a discounted rate for members.
Therapy
Pay-what-you-can therapy sessions for people struggling with their mental health.
Coffee lounge
Complimentary coffee with every visit, and a nice place to lounge whilst you drink it!
On-site parking
Free parking round the back of the building (Brockburn Terrace). Bicycles can be brought inside.
Private weights area
Kitted out by Eleiko, our premium free-weight zone is all yours (bookable in one-hour slots).
Water coolers
Refill till your heart's content.
Private shower rooms
Private rooms complete with a shower, toilet, sink, etc.
